cam curious

I am wondering if anyone might have any thoughts regarding a possible cam problem I may have. I own a 1964 CL72. I had the engine overhauled last winter, and they discovered the cylinder had been bored out to fit larger pistons (don't recall how large, but the sleeves were maxed out and I needed to ...

Thanks davomoto. I kinda figured that, but thought I 'd better ask. Unfortunately, I've tried everything I can think of, but could only go so far into Ed's recipe. It seems my timing has an issue. I think when the engine was rebuilt, the cam wasn't placed correctly, so I can't set the crank on F and...

carbs

Thanks for the advice again Davomoto. I plan to follow Ed's recipe, but thought I should try to eliminate some of the other variables first that seem to be causing the right carb to run so poorly. slides

Thanks Davomoto. As far as the jets, the shop that did some work on my bike did replace them with 112 (I think, but not sure what size on the others). Prior to that they were from an aftermarket kit (Keyster I think), and weren't working well. I finally found the correct slide needle setting in Bill...

carb slide needle

Hello, I need some clarification from someone regarding the carb slide needle position. I own a 1964 CL72, and have had reoccuring plug-fouling issues. I'm trying to narrrow the possible causes and think I may be running too rich. After reading through many of the postings regarding the proper posit...

Thanks for the advice. I spoke with my engine builder, and he suggested I first replace the spark plugs, even though I may have cleaned them up, they may still be shot - it's a cheap band-aid fix for now. I will also take a look at the other items you suggested. I did make some minor adjustments to ...
