Sprockets-Gearing ?
Apologies if this has been discussed previously, but a "re-fresh" for the new kids might be nice ? What is the definitive sprocket ratio/sizing on a CL77 for a comfortable 65-70mph cruising speed, please ??
Has anyone thrown different tyre sizing into the equation too ?

The 10mph per 1000 rpm equates to the factory spec...but with no revcounter, tricky to tell.
I'm guessing 90mph is extremely optimistic !!

Hey DJM.....Thanks for taking the time to reply. I've not had the sidecase off the bike yet to checkout the front sprocket, I'm presuming it's on stock sprockets, but maybe not ? I'm not after a "rocket", just an easy 60mph cruising speed. I had a friend ride with me to check out my speedo accuracy,...

Thankyou for taking the time to reply, appreciate that. Yes, we're talking MPH...but I don't can't vouch for the accuracy of the speedo. The bike I bought is a beautiful resto, but the previous owner did minimal mileage on it & it was a bit of a "show pony". I'm waiting on a clymer manual to arrive ...
