Good idea! I will do that at next oil change. Chopsticks should give more control! I'm doing an oil flush and curious how much grime the spinner will catch. Bike sat up for 35 years inside. PS I tried a telescoping magnet but it didn't work.

I got it! Took a break and went back to it. I did have to rebend my wire more of a 180 degree bend. Took the bike for its first real ride down these country roads. Riding this bike is like going back in time. Can't think of one thing the Dream needs mechanically, runs great! Thanks Ed for all your h...

Oil filter spinner chain installation, ideas?

I have been working for hours trying to get the chain back on w/spinner. I read the tips below by 48lesco, seems easy enough but that chain has the best of me. Clutch cover is the next option, but trying not to go that route. Ideas? Guess I can just keep plugging away, but thought someone may have a...

Well after Ed put the right jets in and set my float at 26.5 mm, I put the carb back on and the Dream started right up first kick! We used Keihin 120 main and 35 slow, but using a Keyster D3 needle for now as compared to the Keihin 22401 (stamped) Will swap it out once I get one and will report back...

Hey, I ran there as fast as I could! Ed fixed me right up and was a treat to watch him work. I learned more about carbs yesterday than I could have learned in a lifetime of reading. Thanks Ed for the all the help, you are truly a 305 Master Jedi.

Took carb off and inside was pristine. All jets/passageways clear like new. Cleaned it anyway, blew air through everything. Sits on workbench while owner reads and reads . . . LOL What does that little flap do on the choke slide? Assuming it only opens when high air flows through the carb and the ch...

Ran great, now bogs down, choke makes no difference.

Overhauled the PW22 carb on 1967 Dream, fired up first kick. Bike ran great, idled great, revved great, sounded great! I went around the block at low speed, everything was like brand new. Then suddenly it died as I pulled into the driveway, I restarted with some difficulty, but once started it was b...
