rustywrench, I was wondering if you got that CL72. I have a 67 CL77 and I have kind of been looking for a 250 also. I have not heard of any for sale anywhere close by here (eastern Wa.)

Gentlemen, what is the proper way to check engine oil, threading the dipstick in till it seats against the engine case or just inserting it till it makes contact with the top of the oil fill hole?

Gentlemen, I have looked through the forum but did not find any information on recommended engine oil. I have heard from two different people that 15-40 synthetic (diesel oil), works well in these old engines, ( 1967 CL77 305) but I was wondering what others were using. Any input will be appreciated...
