Occasionally one set of points may not be properly grounded. Although there is spark, it is so weak that the wet plug will not fire. With the motor running hold a screwdriver tip to the #1 points as they break and listen for any improvement. The solution is then to replace that set of points.

Yes, it appears the frame-tab that holds the switch is missing. For $10 I could remove a tab from one of my 'junk' frames and mail it to you. Simple to have it welded in-place and touch up the paint.

+1 on Security Lock...................I've sent them customers from as far as Australia.........all they need is a Lock/key number and they will mail you the correct key.

Paul..........You will likely need to partially or completely remove the rear fender to fit the rectifier.........unless you don't mind some paint scratches. Looking real sanitary! Ed's motor will likely start on the 2nd-kick.
