Thanks for the feedback. There is one carb on the motor. The case has the CA77 stamped on it. I'm going to assume it is a stock CA77 just in a CL77 frame. I'll keep at it and order a new point and see if I can get combustion. The bike has good compression and everything is dialed in.

Points Confirmation
Ok, Help me out here, banging my head agains the wall. I have a basket case CA77 in a Cl77 frame with all the issues. The big ticket item my small brain can't get past are the points. OK! I had a moment today to put the wiring together. It's as super simple wiring harness consisting of the stock IG switch, points, coil and one of those $4 reg/rec units. The kind you would get at radioshack (RIP). No lights or anything... not yet at least. I need to fabricate a few mounting bracke...

It'll have a brake at some point. Gotta clean and service the stock front wheel and drum. That's an XS650 wheel that's temporary.

Headers
Can someone tell me the diameter of the headers for a 62 ca77? I can’t for the life of me find the answer. I have some cb77 pipes that measure 45.5mm. They are seriously just too big. Or should I just spend an afternoon sanding off .2mm’s? Or if there are compatible headers from a more common motor?...
