Nice restoration, but I'm so glad I have access to Phoenix Craigslist. Lots of reasonable rust free bikes. It would be hard pressed to bring $5000 US at Barrett Jackson next weekend.

An O-ring from the local hardware store plumbing dept. or (16958-268-010), a fuel gasket(16955-268-020), and a new screen (16957-268-010) paper clips, awls scotchbrite pads and carb cleaner. Footpeg placement
I would like to use the rearmost placement of the footpegs and remove the passenger footpegs. It appears that all I have to do is replace the gearshift rod with a longer one.
