I take it that a CL head will not bolt straight on as this has not been mentioned. As you can probably tell, my knowledge is very limited at the moment! I will take more pics over the weekend on a better camera and email them to myself from another laptop and try and post. Frustrating that an ipad d...

Cheers for the new info, it really helps. The bloke I picked it up from purchased the bike as is. It does appear to be an early bike updated with newer parts. The spare engine is numbered C77E 1006202. It's leads me to believe it is not the original donk as it is a 7 digit code.........I think? The ...

Awesome info guy's, great help. As mentioned before, I'm not after any real HP gain. I thought that with a little head work for better flow and a cam/carb set up I would end up with a great sounding reliable ride. If better low end torque is achieved, well that's a bonus. I will now look at sourcing...

Well that puts a spanner in the works! Only because Bill Silver thinks it's a 60 due to the frame number being C72 60 30744. The engine in it is C77E1007021. He put this in the 65 year.
The journey continues.........thank's for the reply. Would hate to order parts for the wrong year
Cheers,
Scott.

305 engine mods.

Hi guy's,
Just wondering if anyone has modified their 305 with a cam and maybe some head work, and was it worth it. Not after a hi-po engine, I don't think the dreams pressed frame would cope too well. Cam's always sound good, and can you get one for the 305?
Cheers,
Scott.

Seems we both have come across the same bike in colour and condition. Seized donk and left to rot. Well done and I can already see myself in your shoes. I posted up a pic and intro of the bike today. May look familiar. Can't wait for the WD40 in the bleeding knuckles. Excellent thread mate. Cheers, ...

Unearthed 1960 Dream

G'Day fellow Dreamers! Scott here from Melbourne Australia. A year ago I was looking at a car that my sons child care teacher was selling when I noticed and old bike engine in a plastic tub in the carport. Didn't think much of it and let it slide. A few months later I asked about it when picking up ...
