OK seat checks out to be the correct size, it just won't but up to the tank no matter how hard I push it forward. I've noticed on other seats that they sit a little higher and there is a little space between the seat and the frame.

Not sure , it's the seat that came withe the bike. It looks to be the correct size. I haven't measured it yet. Are their more than one seat bracket for the 305 dream.
I have the shorter one and my seat sits a little far back from the tank. I have seen longer brackets on eBay, could I have the wrong bracket.
