Thanks Guys. After a little cleaning I was surprised at how well the small section I'd done on the hubs looked. The rims will be re-plated and laced with new spokes, but sat in the garage cleaning the hubs listening to "Fly to the rainbow" on in the back ground was very therapeutic !! With an Englis...

Seasons greetings every one. Yesterday I started to strip the front wheel of my CB72 and was wondering the best way to clean the hubs ? Polishing ? Vapour blasting. Thanks for the info. I come across a 6 metre length of stainless pipe on site the other day going in the bin ! 1.5mm wall and 40mm O/D. I thought i might be able to use it. Petrol tap thead and pitch size

Good morning all from a frosty morning in Lincolnshire. Can some one please tell me the size and pitch of the thread on a 1961 CB72 petrol tap. Also the O/D size of the exhaust down tubes.
