I had the same problem with my CL77; tried everything you have. What solved the problem was buying Honda brand gaskets. Don't know why that worked since the aftermarket ones looked about the same.

Also be careful about ordering "JIS" screws; there are current JIS screws which are identical in thread pitch to ISO screws.

Since that picture was taken, the black center stand has been repainted the correct red (LM picked that up some time ago) and the tank emblems have been replaced with the plastic gold emblem reproductions that Ray is selling. The bike is now winterized; the carbs have been emptied ...

My 10401060 is a non-seamed tank which I believe is late 1966 (uses the old JIS threads before the changeover) although it's titled as a '68.
