Is the spring pin removable from the outside, or do I need to remove the wheel/drum and get to it from the inside? I pulled the lock nut, but don't see anyway to grab the threaded pin easily.

You guys rock!! That's it ... the spring coil is rubbing in the space between the front arm and it's mounting spline and forcing it outward. Thanks for the axle observation LM!! Cable was new from Retrobikes. Spargett: the cable is actually wedged up about 1" above the curved bracket and not resting...

Rear brake cable conundrum

Having a little trouble getting the rear brake cable dialed-in on my 67 CB77. It's doesn't actuate the brake properly. The cable is brand new, lubed properly, and I believe routed the right way (although the route looks hokey with it's "S" shape). Shoes are older but with ample meat. Entire assembly...
