Did the speedo & tach both turn clockwise on a 1966? My 1966 (supposedly) has opposite turning guages. Were both available in 1966? Or did the PO swap this at some point.

If you don't have a bolt running through it should be removable, as is. You can use a screwdriver or chisel to try to spread the gap on the piece connected to the spindle. I went through a few throttle cables on my '70 Suzuki TC90 before coming up with a solution. The throttle sleeve didn't hit the "bump-stop", so it could turn infinitely.
