Thanks for the reply Cadman. I did locate the picture on this site and used it to do the rebuild. The only problem with the switch now is the starter won't crank in the first position down from off, but I can live with that. thanks again

Ignition switch cleaning/rebuild
Hi, I'm told by the local expert that my ignition switch is bad and should be cleaned or replaced. I've never done this before and can't seem to get much info. from doing a search on the site. Can anyone give me some advice as far as what to do and watch out for when I take this switch apart? Thanks...

I'm in the process of re-assembling a 1966 dream 305. I took the starter switch off to change handle bars and noticed a frayed wire where it is soldered to the contact board. I did not notice a part like a speed clip when I took it apart and don't know where it goes. Does anyone have an exploded pic...
