The original front fender (red, repainted from silver) that I have is missing the stay. The fender is steel, has a threaded mount on one side, 4 mounting holes, notches for the front forks and one flared end. Is this fender typical of early CL77's? Agree that it is a 65. Read an article by Bill Silver 'Carbon Dating' mid-sixties honda twins. He indicated that frames 1000001 to 1014495 were 65's and starting with 1014496 the front forks were changed from steel to aluminum alloy. Working on CL77 Scrambler (received from the original owner who purchased it new) It has frame and engine Serial #'s CL77-10092xx (just 20 numbers apart) I believe this is fairly early in the run, is this a 66?
