I got one of those tsubaki cam chains off eBay. It is beefier than the old one that was in there with the clip. Took a lot more fiddling to get it in position which I attributed to it being a little tighter. I have yet to peen the ends over satisfactorily. Getting something held firmly in place behi...

Topic: What's the clutch spring bolt tourque spec on a 67 CB77?

I believe this has been addressed before on the forum.
If I recall correctly, there is no spec and Loud Mouse's advice is just to get them snug.
Be careful -- I've sheared the head off one of those bolts by being too heavy-handed.

flathead,

I dig it.
What are you using to make that gasket? A punch press? The edges all look clean.
You couldn't find any thin o-rings at your hardware store?

I've been thinking about popping the liners out and boring them on a lathe. Seems reasonably straightforward with a big enough chuck and a boring bar. I can see why people warn against boring the sleeves when they are removed from the block - the aluminum cylinder housing could theoretically distort...

flathead, I really don't have answers for you, just questions. What you are doing is something that has crossed my mind. I see those cheap pistons and 26mm Chinese carbs on eBay and I'm always tempted to experiment. Also, I am considering putting the 3mm oversized pistons in my cb since I have to re...

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys, I've been wondering about that for a while.
So, are the cb350 wrist pins the same diameter as the 305's?

Bill at Bore Tech has a good reputation I believe in vintage care circles. That particular kit is one way to go and probably uses modified CB350 64mm pistons which is what I used to use or may use modified 65mm CB350 pistons. What I used to do was to find cheap sets of CB750 barrels and push out th...
