in my book about my bike it says that the light switch on the headlight, when switched to the left it puts out more from the alt. but my switch faces the left so is that the down or the up side?

i have a cb77 with the stock carbs on it and i was wondering what place to put the clip on the neddle... i'm having a problem getting both of the cylenders to run right... one idle screw is in more than the other one... i have them set on the seconed one down right now...
