Removal of "plastic pads" on gas tank
Is there a preferred way of removing the pads from the gas tank? How are they attached? I don't want to damage anything in the removal process. At times I can be good at that!!

Thank you sir for your reply. I have lots of questions regarding this project. Were the original tank badges on a 66 Scrambler metal or plastic? I'm guessing metal. Also, did all 305's including Superhawks and Dreams use the same stator? If so, is there any trick to removal? I also have a 67 parts b...
