Thanks piecutter for the post. She's just waiting around for the whitewalls and then she's out of here. Paul

Beautiful work Paul, I think you're surpassed craftsman here and gone on to ARTIST.

As for Apex mufflers, I saw just a couple of weeks ago on eBay they were advertising their LAST SET of those mufflers. I'm betting that he sold all of the nicest of the batch he had first (since I did see some good comments on other sets he sold) and what you got was one of the last sets and he was knowingly scrapping the bottom of the barrel. But since he had no more I guess he didn't care and more either.

I think you figured it out. When I went to order these from Tom (Apex) he told me that I better soon order them because they were almost all gone. I thought to myself at the time "Hum, salesman pressure tactic" which I'm used to after working in an automotive dealership for years but I still find it hard to accept how someone could knowingly sell this kind of crap to anyone trying to restore a vintage vehicle. I feel doubly taken advantage of here because I was shopping across the border and he knew or didn't even care how his product looked and knew there was nothing I could do about it. It makes me wonder what else this guys is capable of.

I've learned a bit because of this. I'll be launching my own web site in the not to distance future and my feelings about Apex will be reflected on it there. You would never believe the emails I've received on this subject. I stopped counting around 48. One would think Apex would want to do the right thing and send me a "Good set" if one exists.

I'm a fair person. If they did the right thing I would report they did and promote there product. Tom just wanted to get rid of the garbage he had left and ship it off to me up here in Canada. Stay tuned and thanks for the kind words. As always, you figured it out. Paul
