They don't require you to peen the end over.

I just googled LM's Time Sert and they look pretty good for spark plug holes as you can peen the end over to stop it winding out. The little flange on the top stops it winding in. Quite neat.

If you want helicoils for anything else just do a search on eBay for thread repair coils or heli-coil.

I do as much work as I can and am amazed by the number of these parts you restore in actually a short time. ..............lm

Id forgotten that one of the castings had a crack and will need fixing but I think I have enough to be going on with....

Thanks. I spend time making tools and fixtures where I can. Once those are done, the actual task is often quite simple and quick.

I can supply that part many times so no real reason the fix a crack. ............................lm

LOL, I might be wrong, but I somehow think that G will want to fix it just because it would be a challenge. He certainly doesn't need another chain tensioner....
