It was always known as a ladies bike in the UK and I liked it because it was so small. The engine is so smooth and 6 gears just makes it feel like a little race bike. I did 14,000 miles in the first year with her and later on it took me and my wife to the South of France. I guess the biggest problem was that Honda of that era were not built for the British climate. The fenders rotted through and it was inclined to run on anything but four cylinders in the wet...
We were told that Honda ceased production because Americans wouldn't buy them.... boo!
I wrote about the restoration in Classic & Motorcycle Mechanics Magazine and then went on to work for them as a freelance for a number of years. Great fun!
