Thanks superchicken and cliffc for the date.
The PO had it titled as a 67 and got a front fender for a 67 that doesnt fit the early forks.
Now the search for an early fender.

I had the same issue with front fenders. I put an ad on local craigslist, and found a guy that had the fender I needed, and needed the fender I had. I made a good friend in the process as well. You can also post in the parts wanted section, and see if anyone wants to do a swap.

Unless you have an early fender you would like to trade.

I went on the last ride on Thanksgiving until spring time, now the teardown begins.
If anyone has an early front fender that they would like to trade for a later one,
or sell an early fender let me know. The bike looks good. I could only find a few things wrong,
the rear fender mount by the batt. tray is broken off, a few striped out screw heads, and stud holes
that needs to be helicoiled back to metric size and not SAE. One question i had was about the badges, are these the correct ones?

They're factory Honda replacement badges, that you can still order from Honda. The origionals were plastic. Ray sells them for around $60 with 4 new screws. Here's his e-mail.
