You have a Dream engine.

The picture that you linked to is not a CA77, its a Scrambler. motorcycle-specs.com is WRONG!

Your scrambler originally had an engine with 2 carbs.

Hahnda-

Thanks for the clarification! Now I'll know which clutch plates to buy, along with a lot of other parts....

Well, now the "carb" versus "carbs" makes sense! Hang on to that stock carb, you may have trouble getting it to run right with the Mikuni carb! Avoid the all fiber clutch plates. There are some really great threads on this site explaining what parts to use for your clutch.

air filter doesn't fit in space available

The air filter I ordered arrived. Problem is the gap between the carb intake and the gas tank support is too narrow for the air filter to fit. I'm thinking about putting a 90-degree elbow in there. Is that a bad idea?

Failing that, I might remove that spacer between the carb mount and the cylinder (see below photo):

Also, on the kickstarter side, should the key really be mounted below the seat here?

Image

On a kind of different topic, where can I get tires like this? I need to replace the front- it's dryrotted.

Image

Should I be concerned about this blemish on the tank? Is it some kind of patch job?

Thoughts?

hey Texas
looks to me like that blemish on your tank might be body filler or a thick coat of paint thats just pealing a bit
