Thanks for the kind replys. Plating the fastners and mounts takes a lot of time. I'm not real happy with the carbs finish I guess they were dipped in the wrong stuff at some point. I have another set to clean up and see how they look.

The horn must remain 'suspended' and relies on the rubber 'cushion' washer to keep it from touching the bucket. That said.........the rubber grommets on the two small bolts that hold it to the bucket may be slightly 'fat' preventing the horn from being snugged a little closer to the outer washer.
BTW........nice work. I'm guessing you put clear over the 'shinny' silver on the case-cover to get the good looking final finish.

Engine covers were painted with high temp universal silver then high temp clear. The rest of motor was bead blasted and sprayed with glisten pc clear.
LM, thanks for the reply. It just looks like water or dirt could enter through the gap so I just wanted to be sure.

Yes moisture can enter but it can also get out.
See the hole with the rubber ring where the wires enter?
The HORN actually sort of swings.
Not the way I paint engines or HONDA either. ..........lm
