Bloody gorgeous; really lovely job! Needs the right tank emblems to finish it off, IMHO, which you can get from Ray Byrne -- rrhbyrne@aol.com -- but what a looker!

What paint is that on the motor casings and the valley cover? Is it fuel resistant?

That's VHT "Universal Aluminum" SP127 on the engine side covers, valley cover, and starter parts. I experimented with half a dozen different paints including the Krylon, Rustoleum, etc. and the VHT was the winner hands down in terms of color and fuel resistance. It has to be baked for an hour at 200F, but after that if you spill gas on it, it wipes off leaving no trace. Not sure how it would be with a continuous drip, thats why I put the fuel overflows on for a while until I gain confidence in my floats. I just Googled it and TCP Global and Amazon both have it in stock now if you're interested. Not sure about Spain... Thanks for the tip on the emblems, maybe I'll ask Santa for those!

Nicely done, all of the hard work has been converted into a bike you can be proud to own and ride. The best part is that you did it, not just something you plunked out the cash for!

Oh I plunked out plenty of cash too! But thanks again Davo. Maybe this is a good data point for other forum members considering a restoration - I have about $5000 total into this one with the initial purchase ($1000), a long spreadsheet of parts, sandblasting, welding, a little chrome plating, upholstering and painting (frame and fenders) that I couldn't really do in my garage. I did all the mechanical work, glass beading and some painting on the engine covers, etc. I got lots of excellent advice and info for free right here!
