When the guy described it to me before I saw it I though 'yuck', but when I saw it I was really impressed by the color. The color was copied from a late 60's MGBGT. I'm afraid it has been this color longer than any other color, so this is the color it will stay as long as I have it! I have found remnants of blue in the headlight and red on the gas tank, so I'm not sure what color it was when it was new.

You know I was thinking, and almost wrote above, MG when I saw that color. It is really nice, and I'm not a big fan of green either but that is a great shade of green.

OK, so this will be a little irritating to some but if you can believe it, I forgot to cancel my ad on Craigslist and two days after I bought this bike I got an email form a guy with a completely disassembled 63 or 64 CB77 with a bunch of extra parts for $ (use your imagination, then multiply the amount you imagined by a scaling factor that turns out an equivalent amount of money in 1975.) My Tacoma was filled with parts! He called me two days later- seems he found three clutch side engine covers- one early one without 'HONDA' script, and five brake plates with shoes and linkages. Thanks.
Anyway, back to the original plot, I now have tons of spares for the CB72 project, trade fodder for stuff I need and a project to follow this one.
CB72 progress? Well... I started packing my stuff to move my shop space this weekend, and decided I'm going to go for Cheng Shin tires.

I have a 1963 CB72 that I am really close to finishing. It is mostly original and all white. It is an original white even the fenders. I decided not to paint for this reason.

Shad,
I'd love to see some pictures of it. Feel free to post them on this thread if you want. I should be getting back to work on mine in a few days...
