I had not realized how long it had been since I last posted an update. I was busy with work for much of that time and had little time to work on the project. But recently I did make some progress. The engine is is all back together! All that is left to do is paint the frame and related parts, get the wheels and brakes assembled and tires mounted and balanced and put it all back together. I'll post some pics...

But first I have a question. I'm considering replacing my existing original wire harness with a new one from Ohio Cycle. Nick has two part numbers listed for this part (32100-262-020 & 32100-262-305) I haven't been able to find any info about the differences between the two. Can anyone out there illuminate me on this subject? Perhaps one has turn signal wires?

Thanks!

Today I took the frame and related parts to Lossa Engineering in Long Beach, CA, for white paint, along with the seat which will be getting reupholstered in black leather!

Also today I received a brand new pair of Polished Stainless Steel Wheel Rims from Central Wheel Co in the UK, specially punched for the Dream spokes! They are gorgeous...

This is exciting. Soon the wheels will be rebuilt with Buchanan's Stainless Spokes and the Firestone Whitewalls, and ready for the fresh frame. Then the Engine and... I think it'll be running before Thanksgiving!

After waiting a long time for the frame parts and the seat to be finished, everything is back home. On Tuesday the 21st, I began reassembly of the bike. At the end of the day I had the tail light, wiring harness, and air filter installed. On Wednesday I installed 4 new steering races and new ball bearings and dust seal, and the forks and steering damper. Thursday saw the addition of the front suspension and fender and headlight bucket, center stand, swingarm, rear shocks, brake actuator and switch, rear foot pegs, mud flap, side stand bracket, battery and side covers, and a few other items like frame plugs. Today, I managed to get the front wheel installed. I also ran the control cables, installed the handlebars, and put on some aftermarket winkers on the back. I'd love feedback on these.

I'll post more when I get more stuff done!

Cheers!
