The bracket that the kickstand and footpegs attach to was also black on my blue one. "Black on my Blue One" that's a good country song title...

Great pic. Thanks for that info. I'm still vacillating about color.

Indecision may or may not be my problem.

Ha - That's a good one... I may use that, or not. I found this cartoon pic a few years ago and really like the white seat on that blue Dream. Never seen one like that, especially a late version, but I think that's what you should do... Hope that helps.

Hmm. Quite nice, actually.

Lest anyone think I'm dogging it, I stripped the paint from my headlight bucket today. There was so much rust from scratches and dings in the old paint that it's presently hanging in my electrolysis tank.

Still no word from the body shop. I'll probably stop by there early next week to see how they're getting on with the dent repair.

I'm also making a list of missing hardware and a separate list for the bearings and seals I'll need for the wheels. I don't expect to see the wheels for many weeks, but I want all the bits here to put them back on the frame ASAP. That's assuming, of course, that I'll have the painted frame here by then.

I made a template for the engine mud flap yesterday and might cut one or two out of some heavy gasket material I have on hand sometime this afternoon.

It also looks as if I'm going to have to find another source for a left side cover. The NOS one that I had hoped for never happened. Why are the left side covers so hard to find?

Since the weather is perfect today, I finished cleaning up the side covers and painted them. I used Duplicolor DE1650 Cast Coat Aluminum. I'm going to try and get the carb covers done as well.

Enough for one day.
