I got some aluminum rear stand spools from Harbor Freight for only $5! I had to shave them down a bit to get the bolt to go all the way thru.

right and left side shots. shows the trimmed seat pan (thanks to Lee) ready to mount the smaller battery and some wiring. Also, the tires are the Michelin Gazelles that was recently posted. Thanks!

I finally found a 64 MI plate but it was badly rusted. So I decided to repaint it. My hand painting skills are less than great!

I've put 3 coats of engine primer. Now I have to wait 7 days to cure! Oh the pain of waiting! Nothing else to do. Everything is pretty much done for now. Oh, I'm waiting for the battery strap so I can fab some brackets on top of the seat pan. A humpy seat from AirTech was ordered (CR350) which takes 3 weeks. More waiting!

I've noticed some small holes in the bottom of the engine case. Can anyone help me identify what goes on underneath? Will oil spray out of that area? I'm planning to repair it with JB Weld. Unless someone has a better suggestion.

I've lowered both the clip-ons and the headlight to give it a bit of nose-down attitude.

Here is a closeup of the cb160 fender mounting area. I was able to just drill a second hole in the side and enlarge the existing hole. It was messy but hopefully it will hold with tight bolts. I tapped the fork legs to accept a 6mm bolt in the upper hole.
