Thanks Zads!

Gone as far as I can go until the new mufflers and new control cables arrive. Should be about 1 more day's work before she's ready to go.

Looks Great, Dianne a real throwback to the 60's. I'll bet you'll have fun cruising the streets and getting lots of stares!

Dragged the Purple Dream out for a couple of pictures in the sunlight. Considering I had no firggin idea what I was doing with this fancy paint, it came out okay. Going to have to completely re-do it one day without the embedded dust!

Looking good!

The great thing with old bikes is that you can do (and redo) anything you like. :-)

Finished the 1967 Honda Dream today. Since fall, it has been torn down, repainted, got new bars, new controls, new mufflers (befitting the 'chopper' image) new brakes front & rear, homemade carrier, a set of 1940-something Indian saddlebags, and a new clutch.

Image

Had it out for a test drive and everything is working fine. That makes 10 months since I bought it last June as "a bike and a half" of parts.

An excellent and fun restoration. All you need now is a little California sunshine and the Beach-Boys turned up to 11..... :-)

Diane, I'm late to the party, but - wow! She looks terrific! The Color Purple, nice, nice. I recall ape hanger bars like yours from my teenage years. Some of the boys put them on their CB and CL160's. I sat on one once, and yep, they were tall!

Pretty bike. Congratulations!!
