12/15: I started to sand the hubs, first with 400 grit wet paper. I will follow up with 600, 1000 and 1500. Then I will polish it. These are after sandblasting and 400 grit.

Here are the spokes after soaking in Super Agitene and rubbing with ScotchBrite and a brass brush. I'll throw it in the box going to the zinc plater.

12/16:
Today, I got back the swingarm with the shock bushings pressed in. I pressed in the new pivot bushings with a vice.

Here, I start the build! I fitted the swingarm and shocks. I had to polish the powdercoating on the frame for the swingarm to fit. Tight! No bolt or hardware yet since I need to get them plated. I got some Rustoleum enamel and brush painted the grease caps.

Next up, I am waiting on my sandblasting cabinet to cleanup all the hardware before I send them off to the zinc plater. This will take awhile since there are a lot of little pieces. Also, I'll throw in some extra nuts, bolts and washers since it is the same cost as long as it fits in a shoe box. I always am in need for spare hardware.

Back from a long break. I've finished blasting the hardware and they are at the zinc platers. The fork seals are at the shop getting pressed in. The rear stand and the fork lowers are at the powdercoaters. I've also finished polishing the hubs. I didn't want a real shiny finish so they are polished enough to look clean. I've also drilled extra holes to make them look like magnesium hubs. The bearings are pressed in and I've gotten aluminum rims from Italy. Just waiting on the zinc plated parts, which include the spokes. I'll rebuild the forks as soon as those parts are done too. This is the fun part now - reassembly!
