My fork seals still leaked after I replaced them last. Tubes are smooth so I don't know why the leak. This time I'm using Hondabond and real fork oil. BTW I just powder coated in black.

Nice CB160! Did You realize there are two different fork seals for these? Just by looking at this picture makes me wonder if you got the correct seals? Mine leaked too from sitting, but the new seals did the trick. Depends on the serial number, early or late model. The early models had a steel bottom end and the later ones were aluminum. The seals you see for sale all over the place are for the "newer" style forks. The ones I used were 90755-222-000 (early style)

Thanks Jims65CA77, I think you're right. I can't say what part # I used last time but the ones I ordered right before you posted are for the late alloy lowers. I have since ordered the correct part from Ohio Cycle. Anybody need seals for alloy lowers? Cause' I sure can't use them. I told the guy on ebay to be more specific on his auction but got no reply. g

Ohio Cycle is the same guy I bought mine from!! and the ONLY guy I found that had them! From your picture I was thinking that it DID look like the older style fork.

PS: even though my "user name" says Jims65CA77 I also have a CB160 that I have had since 1972!! I used to ride it in the trails/woods as a dirt bike with low pipes. I now have it all fixed up and riding it on the road and not in the trails. HAHA!

Looks like my forks aren't leaking after installing the seals. The old seals were correct but were so that explains the leak. The other side was old and just leaked. Now if I can just get my motor "leak tight" Thanks again.
