Did ya remove the 2 14mm nuts at the top/middle?. ..........lm
FiremanBob wrote:Nope, still stuck. It feels like it's something near the middle (front-to-back) of the engine as the pistons/crank are free and the gears seem to be free as well. Got any ideas?

Yes. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to lift the upper case the 2cm that it goes so far.

OK. I assume you have removed all the parts on the clutch side. There is nothing that will hold the oil pump once all 6 bolts are removed. Just pry it out. Put the nuts back on the studs and Top Them Out so they are flush with the top of the studs. Lay the engine on it's side so you can use a piece of wood on the nuts/studs and hit that wood with a large mallet/hammer. This will release the sealer from the entire surface of the cases. ..................lm

Hey Bob,
I'm a fellow Superhawk owner across the line in Rehoboth. I recently got my CB72 (Super)Hawk running, in it's "unrestored" condition. I'd be happy to stop by and see how your project is doing, and show you what they're supposed to look like in one piece, if you think it would help. Let me know.

Thanks, Neil. That bike looks terrific. Coincidentally, I'm planning to re-paint mine red like yours. Son is coming to visit this weekend, I plan to get him to help out a little since he is already referring to it as "his" bike.

Yeah, Red and silver are "competition" colors. :) But seriously, I see alot of the old honda race bikes in red and silver.
PM me or email me offline. Next time I'm on a shakedown cruise maybe I could head down 136 your way.

Sure, or if you just want to go for a ride I can take my other Honda:
