Metric -
M6 x 25 refers to the length of the screw.

M6 x 0.9 refers to the "pitch" of the threads.

so it's technically a 6mm x 0.9mm x 25mm screw.

BTW; rechecked the spark like you said. ZIP, but only have 0.4v to right point.
12.4v to left, but no sparky.
accidentally shorted across the point & then 12v spark on left points (plug - nada).
