No luck with the fire to the plugs yet. However, I did pull the points cover and had a quick look. I think for the most part, the points looked good (i.e. no dust, no pitting, no corrosion). I am going to post a pic of it soon.

I have not checked the points. Can you give me some advise on what I should be looking for. I did check the plug (loose) against the head. Thus, I was able to determine no fire.

Just curious, is there a secret about getting the screws loose for the oil filter? The screws that I have are phillips and are rusted. I have been hitting them pretty hard with WD but ...
