when I install the cover and pull on the clutch handle it locks the wheel. When I release the handle the back tire is free but you can hear the gear kind of catching. I' m not sure how to adjust so I can shift in and out of gear.

right crankcase cover installation

To All,
I replaced a broken right crankcase cover. I need to know how to get the clutch to disengage when installing the cover. I'm new at this and have no experience working on motors. it was my dad's bike and I'd like to make it work.
