Bump - can't believe I posted this 6 years ago...

Still looking for someone in the NJ area that could restore my '67 CL/77. I just don't have time to do it myself, and I would really love to get it roadworthy again so my Dad can see it as it once was.

Anyone have a reputable reference?

What's the symptom of the broken spindle or yoke?

I can't kick start mine - it just rotates free and never really catches the engine. Dang hurt my knee something fierce, but I'll live.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I'll third those comments - my CL77 had been sitting for about 17 years in my garage. I pulled plugs, put some oil in, changed the engine oil, cleaned out the tank, replaced battery, and cleaned the points.

Took a few kicks - but not more than 5-6 - she started right up!

Addendum to my previous post - most people know the Beach Boys song "Little Honda" as "Go Little Honda" as released by the band "The Hondells". It was a top 10 hit for the Hondells, even though it had already been released by the Beach Boys.

Rob - I suspect you are right - either that or the PO to my father put them on. My
pops bought the bike in 1967 from the original owner, but I don't believe tires were
swapped, which leads me to believe they were dealer installed. Will check with my pops on that ...

Mine came with K70s FWIW - purchased as new in 1967 :)
