from my memory, it seems that all the brit bikers were looking at options for their sloppy, drippy amals. in fact i had a bro that retro-fit a keihin on his triumph 500. hmmm...

is the grass always greener on the other side?

amal carbs were made in england and were used on b.s.a.'s, triumphs, nortons, and other bikes from the u.k.

(not to be confused with amel carbs that were german and installed on some pre-war b.m.w.'s)

i have no idea which amal carb--if any--would work on your bike.

i was thinking about retro-fitting an dihatsu industrial diesel engine to my titled parts bike. this way, i could run it on waste veggie oil. jets, schmets.
now, if i could only get it to go over 35 mph...

i have an original filter (in bad shape) that came w/ my bike. i don't run it.
i heard someone here talk of a k&n for $35.
the one i run is sort of a cheap k&n knock-off that i bought at my local independent cycle shop for about as much as the ebay one sells for. i just took the damn carb off ...

i'm getting ready to rebuild my carb. the bike i have has (i believe) been had the carb rebuilt w/ a keyster kit because it is dumping too much fuel. i have a parts bike w/ a carb that i believe has the original jets. as per posts i've read here, i'm going to try a rebuild w/ the old jets, since ...
