Honda Dream Chopper

Here is the result of very fine workmanship in mild chopper design. This Honda Dream Chopper manages to capture the essence of that vintage motoring freedom that so many are after, these days (and for a good reason!)...

We already knew that solo seats were great on the Dreams (Honda offered them, back in the day), but this example also treats us to the raked forks. In combination these mods give this machine some serious elegance.

A few words from the owner and builder of this Chopper:

Here's a project I just finished.  Once in a while I like to do something a little different.  No welding was done on this bike so I could return it to 'normal' again, if I didn't like it.  All stock and original except:  Harley chain guard, Super Hawk front wheel and hub, seat, rear shocks, air filter, and a valley cover.

I enjoyed doing this project.  I thought, for a month or two,  of how exactly I wanted to do this without cutting or welding any parts,  everything can be put back original very easily.  It came together pretty much like I had intended, except I originally wanted a white bike with blackened cylinder and head and all the chrome painted dark charcoal with a high gloss. Black Chrome would also have been nice.  The bike is all original except for the handlebars, mufflers, shocks, seat, chain guard (Harley) and the front wheel assembly which came from a Super Hawk.  The stretch was accomplished with 2 metal straps which added 4 1/2" to the wheel base.  This is really just a good rider as many things could be done to make her show quality, like rechroming some of the parts, plastic badges and a better paint job.  It still has a few small dings here and there.  It certainly gets a lot of attention and questions.  I just wanted a different look without damaging the original bike.

Hope you guys like her.  A true labor of love.
