2nd Gear Skip and general rebuild

Post by meta » Sun Oct 07, 2007 11:35 am

So I have an engine that fires up no problems and runs like a champ. Of course there is that one little problem. My second gear skips. All other gears work fine of course.

Now I realize that to fix this I need to crack the cases. I am not sure that I want to do this or if I even have the skills/time to do so. So... How bad is it to just ride (pretty gently) as is? or at least through the end of the fall?

Thank you
