Wrong front fender? WTB ...the right one

Post by davomoto » Thu Jul 19, 2007 8:41 pm

I have a front fender that has 1963 cb77 305 superhawk written on it in junkyard paint. When I tried to intall it, it sits too high over the front tire, and the bottom mounts don't line up. Could this actually be for the later type 2 aluminum forks? If so, anyone out there have a nice usable one for steel fork that they'd like to trade? Here's pic of fender sitting on bike. Thaks in advance.

You are correct. The fender is for the aluminum sliders. ...................lm

What does the steel slider top fender brace look like? Should it have a bend (like a kink) backwards? I might have one for the steel.
Thanks, Greg

Fender swap found!

Post by davomoto » Tue Aug 07, 2007 4:35 pm

Thanks to those who have replied. I found a guy on my local craigslist that had the fender I needed, and needed the fender I had. Wow, wouldn't life be great if all went so well!
