about exhaust mounting on cl77

Post by kennebecgtr » Thu Nov 04, 2010 7:21 pm

Hi! I have a 1967 cl77 and I need to know what bolt and/ or washers/ spacers I need to replace on the outlet end (below the seat) of the frame to be original to the bike for correct mounting of pipes. Also in what sequence to install them. Thanks for any help. William

bolt

you can buy that bolt from classichondarestorations. And if I'm not mistaken, the brackets are different widths and can only go together one way. RW

I have a 1973 edition CL77 parts manual that I just got yesterday from a friend (yes, I will scan and post soon) and it shows the later, rubber mounted muffler that is welded to the top pipe, which is correct for a '67 CL77. I also have a '67 and my exhaust is original.

I can confirm that what Dgormley told you is correct.

The part number for the washer, if you are interested is 94101-08000

regards,
Rob

I have four or five NOS in my spares. Let me know if you need one. Make offer.
