Broken Fin

I was degreasing my CB77 cylinder head yesterday when I noticed that an inch or so long piece of the uppermost fin - where it joins with the valve head - is broken off. I'm feeling fairly confident that this won't have any measurable effect on the bike's performance or ability to dissipate heat. ......

Can Of Worms Alert: Which are the 'correct' cables?

I have a '65 Superhawk that's nowhere near being on the road, but I'm doing all I can to be sure I have what I'll need as I begin the resto in earnest. One of the things I bought was a new flat bar and all related cables from Tim McDowell. Now, I love the look of a flat bar, but I reckon a 'low rise...

I agree, that's probably not a '61. However, I've seen that bike in person and I can assure you that (cosmetically at least) it's flawless. And Western Hills will most likely stand behind their work- they're one of the preeminent '60's Honda suppliers in the US if not the world and they know their s...

Thanks, 48. I'll order up a few cans and see what happens. If I have any smell complaints I'll claim I activated the self-cleaning feature. The missus will tolerate just about anything I'm stupid enough to do, but she's got a rather keen sense of smell and seems considerably less fond of the smells o...

Amazing. Please tell me you're keeping those pressed steel bars - I didn't see them in the post-paint pic?

Good luck- I know how it is; I think about and research the bike projects endlessly but in actuality I get about 45 min wrenching time in a week! One of these days...

Thanks, 48- i can always count on you to chime in with something useful. Bike looks amazing. I'm thinking I'd like to replicate that faded look a bit; the bright blue is a touch flashy for my tastes - which are admittedly pretty drab. I did just buy a red shirt- maybe I'm coming out of it a bit... A...

Ah, so you're the one who had the IVD done. That looked amazing, but I reckon I'm stuck with paint. I asked around and it seems none of my friends are in the aircraft building trade. I was thinking when looking at your pics 'gee, I'd polish those (stator, points etc) covers.' Nice work; I'm sure it'...
